Just because a locomotive is an SD40 doesn't mean it has a big porch. Generally S40-2's have a large porch because of the long frame. However, there are rebuilt straight SD40's and rebuilt SD45's that are really SD40-2's also. There are even a handful of SD50's out there that were sold to lease companies and were rebuilt to SD40-2 spec's.

Also there are 4 SD40X's that are built on SD40-2 frames. Care to speculate on what railroad they belong to?
