Id hve to say that I really like the Cass Sienic railroad. If anyone is in west virginia its a great place to go, there nothing like seeing Shays steaming up a steep grade.

Is Cass a narrow gauge? I didn't think it was. I thought it was standard gauge. This is a pic of their Heisler, and the track and cars look standard to me. (Compare to man towards the back of the train.)

The Carson & Colorado,as it became the Southern Pacific narrow gauge line, which originally ran between Keeler,CA. and Mound House NV. on the Virginia & Trukee. The north end was later cut back to Laws,CA.

I always thought the East Broad Top was a cool road. They had some good sized loco's and a pretty good amount of dual gauge trackage around the interchange.
And of course theres always the Maine 2 footers, like the Sandy River & Rangley Lakes RR. What a cool little road that was.

Guys, Cass Scenic RR is NOT a Narrow Gauge RR! Cass Scenic RR is standard gauge! They used to haul their cars to the C&O RR which is standard gauge also. I rode the Cass Scenic a couple years ago and I don't think it was Narrow gauge, I've rode the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR and its Narrow gauge, I compared the tracks, 3 foot- C&TSRR and 4 foot 8 1/2 inches- CSRR. Remember your tracks standard gauge does not look like Narrow! Cumbres & Toltec Scenic is my favorite, and its in Antinito Colorado to Chama New Mexico.
