Here is another photo from the lineup at Railfest 2004 at Dennison, Ohio. This photo is of B&O ALCO S-4 #9100. This unit was built in 1957 for B&O.

Thats a great photo! I have one question, was the B&O Blue paint that blue shade? I thought it was a tad bit darker.

Alex: I believe the photo is a bit overexposed. I have another view of this unit and it does appear darker in that photo. Notice the sky is completely washed out as it was overcast. I overexposed the photo to get the truck detail. This blue color may have been close to the original B&O blue, I don't really know.
The other thing I could add to this is that the Geeps in the other B&O thread are painted in a very dark blue that originated with C&O. The color is called Enchantment Blue. The C&O controlled the B&O from about 1962 on.

The B & O blue was very dark and was being used before their affiliation with C & O.
