Here is a photo my friend Terry Kirkland (1945-2002) took while he was stationed in Florida with the U S Army. Terry was already a railfan when he went in the Army and being assigned to Tampa sure helped him see some great passenger train action.

Wow great photo, If you look at the left you can see the Old railway Express angency trucks with the Ads that they would cover the sides with.

Here is the same train a little further up the track at Lakeland. Terry was an only child and spent all his time stateside, he could not be deployed overseas to a combat zone. Terry spent two years in the Army as a signalman, most of it in the Tampa area.
