My first time living in New Hampshire was from 1969-1975. We lived in Manchester and later Hooksett. Boston & Maine had a yard in Manchester and I spent my early years photographing the trains at that yard. Below is an early photo from about 1970 of a B&M SW1. The B&M had 24 of that type of switcher and there was usually one around Manchester.

Boy does that bring back memories!
I spent my summers and some of my winters in Belfast, Maine from 1965-1985.

Here is another resident of the yard in Manchester. Photo from about 1971. This B&M NW2 had a transplant engine from an E7A installed that used a taller exhaust manifold.

Here is an essential rarity an ALCO S-5. There were only seven of these built and the B&M owned six of them. Shown here at Manchester Yard in 1970.
