Wheeling & Lake Erie.. (more of a regional than shortline) Appalachian & Ohio (same owners as the Paducah & Louisville) Beech Mountain Railroad Allegheney Valley Railroad

The Georgia Central goes through my town.Black GE locos,two trains a day.Not really a favorite but it's here. cpe,I'm originally from Bellaire,OH.Left the area in 1952.In the 40's and 50's it was a really good train area.

my favorite is the I&O and the WL&E the WL&E is about 30 miles from me so i get to see it alot . working on my train picnic

The closest shortline to me is the Pacific Harbor Line which until very recently was running a variety of end cab EMD switchers,GP7s and 9s,ex C&NW SD18s and tunnel motors.These were recently replaced with new environmental units in SD40-2 carbodies.

A short line used to run about 1000 feet from my house a long time ago (early 1900s) It was called the alloway junction and it was a division of PRR. SO I model PRR in o scale.

What is that industry at Lapel that is served by the Central Indiana & Western? Is it a glass plant?
