-The PRR was the largest railroad by traffic and revenue in the US.
-It was the largest publicly traded corporation in the world.
-Still holds the record for the longest continual dividend history: it gave out annual payments to shareholders for more than 100 years in a row.
-PRR was the first railroad to get rid of wooden passenger cars.

Hello All! The Pennsy was also the only Railroad that had Porthole Cabooses, The Famous Turbine Engine(Of which only one existed) & The Famous 4-6-2 Torpedo; again, of which only one existed. & they were not allowed in Scranton due to some dispute with the other railroads that served Scranton & the Upvalley Towns. Their route ended in Wilkes-Barre & you had to switch to a different Railroad if you wanted to get into Scranton from Wilkes-Barre on the Pennsy. Take Care.
